FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVISERS
Your clients already trust you. We won't get in the way of that.
When a client starts thinking about selling their business, planning for a future exit or buying another company, they may need specialist M&A support.
Transition 360 Partners works alongside accountants, finance brokers, solicitors and other professional advisers to provide that support while respecting the relationship you've already built with your client.
Professional. Confidential. Clear referral fees.
THE EARLY SIGNAL
You may know they're thinking about selling before anyone else does
Business owners don't always wake up one morning and decide to sell.
The conversation often starts much earlier.
"I'm thinking about retiring in a couple of years."
"I've had an approach for the business."
"I don't know what the company is actually worth."
"The business relies too heavily on me."
"I'd like to buy another company."
For many owners, their accountant is one of the first people they have that conversation with.
That's where we can work together.
You don't need to decide whether your client is ready to sell or buy.
Make the introduction and Gavin can have an initial confidential conversation with them about where they are, what they're trying to achieve and whether Transition 360 Partners can genuinely help.
YOUR RELATIONSHIP
Your client stays your client
This matters.
You may have spent 5, 10 or 20 years building that relationship.
We're not interested in replacing it.
Transition 360 Partners provides the specialist M&A support around the transaction while, where appropriate, continuing to work alongside the client's existing accountant, solicitor, finance broker and other advisers.
Your relationship stays intact.
Your client gets the additional transaction experience they need.
"You bring the trusted relationship. We bring the transaction experience."
WHO WE WORK WITH
Built around professional relationships
Accountants
Your client may be considering retirement, succession, selling their business or acquiring another company. You often see those conversations developing long before anybody else does.
Finance brokers
Your client may approach you for acquisition finance but also need help finding, assessing, valuing and negotiating the right business.
Solicitors
A business owner or acquirer may need commercial M&A support alongside the legal work you provide.
Other professional advisers
We also work with financial advisers, wealth advisers and other professionals who have trusted relationships with business owners.
HOW IT WORKS
Making an introduction is simple
01
You spot the opportunity
Your client mentions selling, retirement, succession, an approach they've received or an ambition to acquire another business.
02
You make the introduction
With your client's permission, introduce them directly to Gavin. A simple email introduction is enough.
03
Gavin has the conversation
Gavin speaks directly with your client to understand their situation and whether Transition 360 Partners is the right fit. There is no obligation for them to proceed.
04
We work alongside you
If the client engages Transition 360 Partners, Gavin provides the specialist M&A support while respecting the professional relationship you already have with the client. Where the introduction qualifies under the T360P Referral Agreement, you receive the agreed referral fees.

REFERRAL FEES
If your introduction becomes a client, you share in the value
A professional introduction that leads to genuine business has value. That's why Transition 360 Partners has a clear referral fee structure.
At engagement
10%
of the Retainer Fee actually received by Transition 360 Partners.
At completion
5%
of the Success Fee actually received by Transition 360 Partners.
The completion referral is 5% of the professional Success Fee received by Transition 360 Partners.
It is not 5% of the value of the client's business.
Referral fees are exclusive of VAT where applicable and are subject to the terms of the T360P Referral Agreement.
A SIMPLE EXAMPLE
What could a referral be worth?
Based on a £2 million sell-side transaction:
Business value
£2,000,000
T360P Retainer Fee
£6,000
Your referral fee at engagement
£600
T360P Success Fee
£50,000
Your referral fee at completion
£2,500
Total referral fees
£3,100
In this example, a successful professional introduction would generate total referral fees of £3,100, exclusive of VAT where applicable.
Actual referral fees depend on the client's Engagement Letter, the fees actually received by Transition 360 Partners and the terms of the Referral Agreement.
TIMING
The best introduction might be years before the sale
A client doesn't need to be putting their business on the market tomorrow for an introduction to be worthwhile.
They might be thinking about selling in one, two, three or even five years.
That can actually be a very good time to start the conversation.
It gives the owner time to understand what their business is worth, identify anything that could concern a future buyer and start making the business less dependent on them.
That's where Coach 2 Sell can help.
The objective isn't to push somebody into selling.
It's to help them understand their options and get properly prepared.
WHY GAVIN
Your reputation matters when you make an introduction
When you introduce somebody to your client, your own reputation goes with that introduction.
Gavin understands that.
Before founding Transition 360 Partners, Gavin built and operated his own group of businesses and completed nine acquisitions himself.
Today he works directly with business owners, buyers and their professional advisers through business sales, acquisitions, valuations and transaction execution.
Clients get plain English, commercial advice and direct access to Gavin.
No unnecessary corporate finance jargon.
No pressure to transact.
And no passing the client down through layers of junior advisers.
Buyer. Business owner. Adviser.
CLEAR FROM THE BEGINNING
A proper professional agreement
Every formal referral relationship is backed by the T360P Referral Agreement.
It clearly sets out:
- What constitutes a Qualifying Referral
- The 10% Retainer Fee referral
- The 5% Success Fee referral
- Payment arrangements
- The 12-month referral protection period
- Duplicate introduction protection
- Client consent
- Confidentiality
- Data protection
- Professional responsibilities
- Regulatory responsibilities
A Qualifying Referral must be made in writing and accepted by Transition 360 Partners.
The prospective client must not already be an existing T360P client or have been in active discussions with T360P regarding the services during the previous six months.
The client must consent to their details being passed to Transition 360 Partners.
Professional advisers remain responsible for any disclosure or professional requirements applying to them.
Gavin will provide the agreement directly to advisers wishing to establish a formal referral relationship.
